James H. Dunlap - Police Chief and Director

The Police Chief and Director is the highest-ranking officer. As a general manager the Chief is responsible for the administration and operation of the department under the authority of the MSU Board of Trustees. The MSU Police Department is an organization of over 100 women and men. 69 staff members are certified, sworn police officers. The Chief reports to the Vice President for Operations and Finance and Treasurer, Dr. Fred Poston.
